Faithful to Unfaithful in 36 Hours

I recently received an email that disturbed me greatly.  Apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to great a dating service site where married folks could start affairs.  I fail to see how this is a good idea, but it making money.  over 25,000 users register every Monday.  The link I am including contains a lot of interesting marketing research data. http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/faithful-unfaithful-36-hours/story?id=19945949. It looks like the money stream is from per minute chat time.

  1. Now I've seen everything,...right out there in the open. There is no telling what is going to make you some money these days, I do not believe we will see an IPO for this site as I doubt it will live more than a decade or so. When I was with ABC 13 and we were airing infomercials Sunday mornings my boss said "There are people that watch this stuff Tom, something for everyone.

  2. Wow seems pretty crazy to allow a site to welcome married couples to talk to others married couples to break up a marriage with an affair or to even hide it from their partner. You would think that of how many things that are illegal today, this would be one of them. Couldn't this interfere with adultery? I think that's the word for it...

  3. well as sad as it is it don't surprise me. I cant really remember the numbers on divorce or separation but I know the numbers were high. I guess with the world the way it is I can see how this could make some money. I would never would take advantage of a troubled marriage but company's who don't care about their customers and just want to make a few dollars off them defiantly will so unfortunately bad for family but good for the company.

  4. I think that people who pay for that stuff are more at fault than the company! I mean the people are more at fault than the company! The company might be the smart one in this situation.
