Coke is Adding Milk Products

Coke has entered into a joint venture with Fairlife to distribute an expensive brand of milk to major retailers.  .Soft drink sales are declining and customers are looking for a boost from their drinks.  Their product will be lactose free, contain 50% more protein, 30% more calcium, and 50% less sugar.  The product will be marketed to women.  Will consumers be willing to pay twice as much for this premium product?  How successful do you think it will be?  Read more about it:  From Staple to Superfood.

Super Bowl Ads 2015

Numerous ads during the Super Bowl 2015 went to a serious side.  An example is the Nationwide Ad.  McDonald's said it would let customers pay with with acts of kindness.  Coke focused on anitbullying.  There were a few funny ones, but the sex and crassness of past commercials was avoided (10 Funniest Commercials of the Super Bowl 2015). How do you think viewers will respond?  Was the Super Bowl the right place for depressing sad themes? 

Microsoft Reveals Windows 10

Rising Beef Prices

Due to increases in international demand for beef and the drought that caused farmers to reduce their herds, the price of beef is rising quickly.  Fast food restaurants are faced a challenge.  What should they do?  Raise prices to customers or try to demarket beef and encourage customers to purchase another item instead.  Read the following:  Beef or Chicken? Pizza Hut revamps

GM used Facebook to reach out to get recalled vehicles fixed

GM began recalling 2 million cars with deadly ignition switches two months ago.  Less than half have had them repaired.  Despite numerous attempts to reach owners through letters, etc.  people were still not bringing in their cars.  They are now sending Facebook messages and making phone calls to owners of Chevrolet Cobalts and Saturn Ions.
