I think it would have a HUGE impact on cable companies. I work for Comcast technical support and lots of the older people love HBO. I do think it may affect the price of cable but I'm not sure which way, increasing or decreasing. Apple may not be affected so much but also in it being successful for HBO, not really. Older people love to watch HBO. Me personally, I don't but older people do to watch movies. Habits have changed because most people watch movies on Netflix or Hulu, they don't really do much movie watching in my opinion unless they are older.
