The concept of early adopters is definitely demonstrated by the launch of the iPhone6. While you can order on line and get it within a week, some people waited as much as 16 days in a line that went 12 blocks to get their iPhone6 in Manhattan. Over 4 million were sold in one day.

Would you wait this long for an iPhone 6? Why or why not? What would you wait in line for?
I find this just stupid personally, I have never seen how something can have so much value to excite and inspire so many people to stand outside waiting in huge lines for something that will obviously be just as easy to buy the next week. I just don't see how something materialistic could warrant the value for me to want to stand outside with a bunch of people I don't know. I would not wait this long for a phone, why waste my time standing in line when I can order it if i want it that bad, plus my girlfriend works in cell phones so I'm sure I could get one if I wanted it. I would wait in line for for things I absolutely need, food, work, healthcare, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football tickets, and a great philly cheesesteak hahaha. lol
ReplyDeleteI would not have waited for this product personally. Mostly because after I would have purchased this $500 phone, two months later I would have to repeat this processes when the new phone comes out all to just feed into the capitalist mindset of materialistic America.
ReplyDeleteNo, because I am a Samsung user and do not prefer Apple Products. I couldn't think of anything that I would actually wait in line for that long. May for the purchase of a Limited Addition Automobile.
ReplyDeleteI would wait for the opening of a restaurant, however not an iphone. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE my apple iphone 5c that I have now but it's not worth standing in line for. I'll just wait until my upgrade or either when it gets in the stores.
