Super Bowl Commericals 2014

Every year, companies spend more and more for 30 seconds of fame during the Super Bowl.  In 2014 they paid $4 Million for each 30 second spot.  Why are they willing to do that?  Over 100 million people watch it worldwide.  That is a lot of eyeballs seeing your company.  It always amazes me at how bad some of them are.  Why would you spend all of the money and create such a poor advertisement.  The Bleacher Report does a nice job of rating each ad and explaining why.  You may view all of them here: The Bleacher Report.  What were your favorites?  Which ones do you think did the best job of marketing their company or product?  I loved the Cheerio ad.  I liked it because it actually used the product.  Some of them were so off base that you didn't know the product until at the very end of commercial and there didn't seem to be a real connect.

  1. I liked the cheerios also It was simple and cute. I do and also would use this product again. I thought It was appropriate and made since. To be honest most the other ones were so stupid they lost my attention. The car max slow hand clap was just strange and the one ellen was in was just to funny but I don't even remember that product.

  2. My favorite was the Jaguar commercial! I new and saw the product throughout. I'm no professional villain or anything, but that ad spoke to the man in me and the desire for "power" and "domination". Plus I have dreamed about owning a jaguar someday. To me it all the over the top pomp of a super-bowl ad, but I knew what they were selling, and I wanted one! They knew their audience would be watching and they sold it well.

  3. My favorite was the Budweiser commercial with the puppy and the horse. It was so cute! It kept your attention since you had no idea what it was about until the very end, then you were just shocked that it was a beer commercial! It blew my mind!
